Camp Card

My dearest darling daughter is going to sleep away camp after church on Sunday. I am working on several items for her to go into a care package. I found a tutorial to make a box card with a drawer and thought is would be cute to add into her stash. I'm not allowed to send candy so I've placed elastic hair bands in the box. I also made the box in yellow, her current favorite color and stamped on the dog from Ruff Day a retired SU stamp set. This project uses a few Stamps by Judith (bone, woof & paw) and the sentiment is a current stamp set also from SU called, Smarty Pants. More projects to come and another VC Blog Hop this weekend.

My Handy Hubby

When I told my husband that I wanted something to hold my ink pads, he didn't bat an eye. I said, "I found this great little tutorial on how to make one from foam core, it'll cost 2 bucks." His reply, "I can make something better than that out of wood, no problem." So I knew I'd just gotten a one way ticket to Man World where original ideas that take potentially hours turns into weeks, months even. I waited patiently and then not so patiently. I waited even when it was done and being painted one coat at a time for weeks. But ta da, I finally have a new ink storage beauty. Thanks Honey!

VC-Rocks 2nd Blog Hop

I hope that you are enjoying the VC-Rocks Blog Hop. I've been part of VC for a few years now and I LOVE every minute of this chatty bunch of lovely, talented and caring ladies!

If you're hopping along, you came to my blog from Jackie Watson's blog at:
http://jackielwatson.blogspot.com\

What I've created for you today is a set of birthday cards made entirely from the Simply Scrappin' Happy Birthday pack. This set retires with the 2009, 2010 catalog on June 30th. I am not a Stampin' Up demo; just a devoted enthusiast. I love their products. This is the first Simply Scrappin' kit I bought and I've really enjoyed making these SIMPLE cards from it. These will be great for those last minute birthday parties that we end up going to for the kids' friends.

When you're done here, you will be heading to the best blog out there which belongs to Ellen Kemper. We at VC nick-named her the Priestess of Punch last year. Do some snooping around on her blog and you'll see why.

Holy Scrap Batman

I am NOT a scrapbooker, I'm not I'm not I'm not but these crazy friends of mine keep telling me I am, just because I have all the stuff. Anywho ... here are the pages I have made in the hopes of earning a prize, it's all about the prizes people, well the badges too, VC badges must be earned, it's imperative!

Easy Peasy Challenge card

This is part 2 of the challenge issued on VC_Rocks. This was to be an easy card. It uses Handsome Hunter C/S and wintergreen DSP along with silver ink, some glitter and silver organdy ribbon.

A Challenge Card

This is a card I made for a challenge in hopes of getting something pretty knitted from a crafty bud named Loni. I didn't win the random shandom drawing but I did make this cute card.
